Ingredients to make Nagauri Dal Tadka
Masoor dal whole – 1/2 cup
Arhar Dal – 1/4 cup
Tomato – 1
Cumin – 1 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
Whole red chili – 5-6
Kasuri fenugreek – 1 tsp
Dry mango powder – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Degi Chilli – 1
Oil – 1 tbsp
Desi ghee – 3 tbsp
salt – as per taste

How to make Nagauri Dal Tadka
To make Nagauri Dal Tadka, first clean and wash the Masoor and Arhar Dal thoroughly. After this, soak both the pulses in water for 3-4 hours. After the fixed time, put the pulses in the cooker and according to the need add water and a little salt and apply 5-6 whistles to the pulses. After this, cut tomato and coriander leaves into fine pieces.

Now put ghee in a pan and heat it. When the ghee melts, add cumin, fennel and asafetida to it and temper it. After a few seconds add finely chopped tomatoes and let it cook. Then add coriander leaves, degi chili, whole red chili and ground spices and fry them. After roasting for some time, add salt as per taste and then take out the boiled lentils in the cooker and mix them in the pan.

Now cover the pan and let the dal cook on medium flame for 8-10 minutes. Keep stirring the dal from time to time with the help of a big spoon. After this turn off the gas. Tasty Nagauri Dal Tadka is ready. Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve.
